The Disability Listening Project has been set up in order to hear what issues Disabled people have in South East Cornwall. If you are Disabled or are a family carer for someone disabled, do you have concerns on Transport, Housing, Social Care and benefits. Then we would like to hear from you. It is open to all Disabled people not just Labour members. I am the Disability Officer for South East Cornwall, Labour CLP. I have a Physical Disability and I have understanding of the issues with living in South East Cornwall. If we work together and get our voices heard and see if we can solve our issues. What we hope to achieve from this project is to produce a report with case studies. The idea is to create a wider picture of what kind of problems are faced by disabled people in South East Cornwall and raising public awareness and influencing future policy development with in the Labour Party.
In attendance will be a local Liskeard Town Councillor to answer questions on Town accessibility. Members of the South East Cornwall CLP Labour.
