At a busy and tumultuous meeting on 1st September we debated some of the issues which will be at national party conference later this month, to advise our delegates how to vote. We passed all the following motions:
– Supporting Those in Need: Rebuild the Welfare State
– Reversing Local Government Cuts to Rebuild Our Communities
– Stop the Academies Disaster: a Democratic, Local Authority Schools System
– Oppose Tory Brexit and Win a Radical Labour Government
Out of the four, we voted Brexit to be our one contemporary motion to send to conference.
We also passed motions on the Democracy Review, Anti-Semitism and Parliamentary Selection. You can find them all in full here.
